Let me tell you more about our town and our Bnb! With a population of 1,600, our community is situated at the brim of the North Texas Hill Country. It was founded in 1889 as a German Catholic community and, while proudly Texan, retains the flavor of its roots.
The community is close-knit, but welcoming—attracting tens of thousands each year to its festivals, with plenty to see and do along with top-notch entertainment. People come from miles around to sample juicy handmade sausages, homemade cakes, pies, and breads, German strudels and cheese along with thirst-quenching beers. Whether you come for a festival or at some other time, you’ll enjoy the charm and culture of this Texas Hill country town, a short, easy drive from the city.
Our urban loft is situated on the second floor of a mixed-use historic building. Once a doctor’s office, this building was where my father was born! It was turned into a library and then a bar. We lovingly and thoughtfully remodeled the building with our guests’ needs in mind and with an eye to preserving original features.
*Note: The entryway to the second floor is not ADA compliant at this time.
